Rutgers Special Collections showcase points of pride across the university through limited-edition runs of fun and unique merchandise. The 2025 Special Collection celebrates beloved landmarks that give the university its distinct appeal. T-shirts, sweatshirts, and tote bags feature designs inspired by the university’s three campuses (New Brunswick, Newark, and Camden).

This year, the collection was designed by two student artists from Mason Gross School of the Arts: Elliot Dong and Sarah Virgilio.

Elliot Dong is a designer in his final year and is pursuing a BFA in Design. His work often revolves around pop culture and digital collage. On campus, he is passionate about student-run media, with involvement in both the local radio station 90.3 The Core, and the university newspaper,The Daily Targum. In his downtime, you can find him working on new design ideas, reading a book, or trying out new study spots around Rutgers.

Sarah Virgilio is a senior with a double concentration in Design and Drawing. She has completed three design-focused internships while at Rutgers, as well as taken on multiple commissions for custom paintings and freelance graphic design projects. She loves all things creative, including design, drawing, and painting, and looks forward to building a career that allows her to balance these passions together.
